Let's try this...

After a very productive first meeting of the OKCMAR Green Resource Council, we all decided that it would be fantastic if we could keep the conversation moving forward between official "meetings". I created a yahoo group, but I think it might be easier for everyone to communicate here instead. I've sent all members an invitation to become an administrator so we can all post. Thoughts?

  1. This format works great for me. Is this set up as a public or private forum?

  2. As long as it is set up as private, I think this is just fine. Either way you have to create an account but I prefer Google to Yahoo any day. This just doesn't email you when there is activity like the Yahoo group. That is the only issue I foresee. Thoughts?

  3. I was thinking keeping it public might be interesting. That way, anyone can join the conversation. We might get participation or different ideas from "non-members" that could be beneficial. I can set up email notifications for anyone that wants to be notified everytime there is a new post.

  4. Or we can keep it private. I'll do whatever.

  5. Oh, and if it's public, I don't think you have to have an account. You can comment without creating a user name. Which I think might be easier for a few of our committee members. I just want to find the easiest way to include everyone.

  6. I like google alot better than yahoo so what ever is easier for everyone else. I think private might be better just to avoid getting alot of random comments, but you could always try to just leave it public and go private if it becomes an issue.
